Conquer the Great Outdoors in the New 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure
The 2018 Toyota RAV4 is set to debut with an all-new trim level: the Adventure. Promising to live up to its name and then some, the Toyota RAV4 Adventure is action-oriented and trail-focused, and it should bring new life to a line that is already one of the hottest in the compact SUV segment. In fact, the Adventure should bestow a sense of power and unbridled ruggedness you might normally only expect from a full-sized model.
The 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure will carry the same 2.5L four-cylinder that finds its home in today’s Toyota RAV4, but it’s what this new trim level does with it that counts. For a start, the Tow Prep package comes standard to provide an upgraded radiator, engine oil cooler, and transmission fluid cooler, which allows the Adventure to tow up to 3,500 pounds. That’s more than double the standard Toyota RAV4 tow rating of 1,500 pounds.
As well as being able to tow stronger, you’ll also be able to go further. The RAV4 Adventure gets a new suspension system that raises the vehicle further, ensuring excellent ground clearance. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) will come standard, and you’ll be able to pursue your active lifestyle with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The exclusive design cues of the 2018 Toyota RAV4 essentially combine standout looks with some practical off-road features, with exterior styling features including:
Large Overfender Flares
18-Inch Five-Spoke Black Alloy Wheels
Lower Body Guards
Black Headlight Bezel
Black Fog Lamp Surround
Black Fog Roof Racks
While you’re cruising Elmhurst or Aurora, the Toyota RAV4 Adventure’s cool appearance will turn heads; when you’re out on the trail, its model-exclusive lower-body cladding and thicker wheels will help you conquer the backcountry.
Once you climb inside, you’ll find a few more distinctive cues, included a Cold Weather package that adds heated steering wheel, a wiper de-icer, and power heated cloth front seats. Unique interior trim panels continue to offer Adventure badging, as do the Adventure door sill protectors, while all-weather floor and cargo mats keep your cabin clean after hiking or biking and a 120V/100W power outlet in the cargo area lets you charge your electronics.
