Toyota of Naperville has an increasingly popular selection of new Toyota vehicles in stock, and drivers from other states have taken notice. Because we consistently receive requests from drivers across the country, we’ve expanded our dealership services to allow out of state drivers to peruse our inventory and make a purchase. Because of differences in registration, taxes, paperwork, and shipping, it’s important to know what the process entails before making your purchase.
For out of state sales at Toyota of Naperville, we accept payment in three different ways:
Also important to note for drivers who finance with us or use their own lenders is that we will be collecting taxes based on where you live or where your new vehicle will be registered. If wiring funds to us, Toyota of Naperville won’t collect sales tax or other state fees unless you live in a reciprocal state, though you will pay our documentation and drive away fees. While we can handle the title paperwork, we can’t do license plates for out of state residents. Instead, we’ll send the customer home in what we call a drive away, which is a temporary tag that’s good for 30 days until plates are issued.
Toyota of Naperville doesn’t directly ship vehicles ourselves to out of state buyers, but we can recommend a local shipper to you. We’re unable to provide a quote to you for this process, and you would have to make the call and arrangements on your own.Aside from shipping, we do encourage you to fly or drive to our dealership to pick up the vehicle. Once you wire the funds to us to purchase your Toyota, we’ll keep the car on hold while you travel to pick it up. We’re located at 1488 W. Ogden Avenue in Naperville, IL.
