Performance Capabilities

The 2018 Toyota C-HR will come powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and mated to an all-new continuously variable transmission (CVT) that uses a redesigned pulley system to optimize both acceleration and fuel efficiency. In total, this powertrain is capable of an output of 144 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque.

Handling is also incredibly confident for a city-sized crossover, thanks to enhancements like a Preload Differential that is able to send torque between the left and right wheels, and a Sport mode that simulates the feel of a seven-speed Sequential Shiftmatic transmission.
