When it comes to performance, there are two different powertrains available on the 2017 Toyota Camry. A 2.5L four-cylinder base engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and has an output of 178 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy comes in at an EPA-estimated 33 mpg highway and 24 mpg city.

Upgrade to one of the top two trim levels for a 3.5L V6 engine with a total output of 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, enough for a Camry fitted with this system to move to 60 mph in only 6.2 seconds. In terms of fuel economy, the increased power still allows you to get an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway and 21 mpg city.
