USED TOYOTA PRIUS

OVERVIEW

Used Toyota Prius Hybrids at Toyota of Naperville

When it comes to getting the most for your money, it’s tough to beat a used Toyota Prius. With a reputation for long term reliability and some of the most fuel-efficient powertrains on the market, these hybrid hatchbacks continue to impress many years after they’ve driven their first mile. The Prius debuted in the 1997 model year, and remains the easiest way for the average shopper to get superior fuel economy in a well-rounded family vehicle. Take a look at some of the most recent versions of the Prius, and then get your own used hybrid hatchback near Chicago at Toyota of Naperville.

2015 Toyota Prius

For the first time ever, a rearview camera came standard on every Toyota Prius for the 2015 model year, no matter the trim level. The other significant 2015 Toyota Prius perk is the addition of the Persona Series, essentially an optional package for the Prius Three trim. If you go this route, then you’ll get such premium styling flourishes as 17-inch alloy wheels, turn signal indicators integrated into the side view mirrors, interior ambient lighting, faux leather upholstery, and extra chrome trim upgrades.

2014 Toyota Prius

The 2014 Toyota Prius essentially resembles previous model years, but that is far from a bad thing. Like other versions of the second generation Prius, the 2014 model comes in Two, Three, Four, and Five trim levels. Even the most basic version of the Prius has a 6.1-inch Entune touchscreen interface, Bluetooth, an iPod interface, a USB interface, cruise control, climate control, and a trip computer. You’ll also get a standard six-speaker stereo system with a CD player and auxiliary input.

2013 Toyota Prius

The 2013 Toyota Prius marked the only model offered with the Persona Series Special Edition trim level. It’s quite similar to the Prius Three, with the exception of upgraded styling like SofTex black leatherette upholstery with red stitching, dark chrome interior trim, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Like other Prius models from this generation, as you move up the trim ladder, you can get a variety of exciting features, including a JBL stereo system, an advanced navigation system, an Advanced Technology package with things like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warnings, a sunroof, and the Safety Connect emergency telematics system.

2012 Toyota Prius

There were a variety of exciting changes for the 2012 Toyota Prius model that are carried through the rest of this generation. The most obvious of these is some updated exterior styling, which gives the Prius a more angular look. This year’s model also benefits from more high-tech features, including the Toyote Entune touchscreen interface with smartphone app integration, and you’ll enjoy the convenience of available power adjustable front seats. This model year marked the debut of the Plus Performance package, increasing the sportiness of the Prius with more finely tuned handling and more curvilinear sheet metal on the outside.

2011 Toyota Prius

Just one year after it was redesigned for the 2010 model year, the 2011 Toyota Prius returned without any big changes. At the heart of this generation of the Prius is its hybrid powertrain. Every model gets its power from a 1.8L four-cylinder engine mated to two electric motors to deliver 134 hp to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission. This setup propels the Prius to 60 mph in just over 10 seconds. EPA estimates are stellar, coming in at 51 mpg city and 48 mpg highway. The interior of the 2011 Prius can seat up to five passengers, and there’s plenty of room for storage behind the rear seat. The hatchback design makes it ideal for hauling bigger loads, too, with a split-folding rear bench seat opening up a maximum cargo volume of 39.6 cubic feet.
