Changes to the 2018 Toyota Yaris Lead to Mounting Anticipation

May 25th, 2017 by

The 2018 Toyota Yaris will feature some big changes, so we’re expecting the manufacturer’s smallest vehicle to be even better for its next generation. Still coming in three-door or five-door configurations, and with a generous range of trims and available options, it’s a bolder-looking vehicle that fully embraces its European roots.

All-New Styling

Regardless of your chosen trim, your 2018 Toyota Yaris will possess a sportier appearance that reflects its vibrant drive. The new front fascia and restyled rear help create a slightly wider stance, with large horizontal tail lamps and new rear bumper completing the image. It’s sure to stand out on the streets of Aurora.

All models will benefit, but we’re expecting the 2018 Toyota Yaris SE — which will feature 16-inch Machined Alloy Wheels with dark accents — to attract more than its fair share of attention.

Upgraded Features

Once inside the 2018 Toyota Yaris, you’ll continue to be pleasantly surprised. The entry-level L model will receive a handy tilting, three-spoke steering wheel with audio controls as standard. Both the L and LE will be fitted with Sport analog instrumentation currently only available with the LE — it shows everything from the ECO-driving indicator to the outside temperature, as well as standard driving data.

Better yet, all new Yaris models will be equipped with a trio of high-end safety features as standard, including:

  • Pre-Collision System
  • Lane Departure Alert
  • Automatic High Beams

Same Spirited Drive

One thing that hasn’t been changed is what’s under the hood. The Toyota Yaris will be sticking with its zesty 1.5L four-cylinder, which is currently able to send up to 106 hp to your front wheels, and you’ll still be able to choose between either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Since powertrains will remain the same, feel free to visit Toyota of Naperville to take a test drive in the 2017 Toyota Yaris and see how the new vehicle is going to handle — you’ll find us just a short drive from Elmhurst and Aurora.

Changes Bring the 2018 Toyota Yaris to the Head of the Subcompact Segment
